Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your Kenya wildlife and beach safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading north through breathtaking landscapes to the rugged Samburu National Reserve. We will arrive just in time for a delicious lunch and an exciting afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for the Samburu Special Five – the Grevy’s zebra with its fine stripes, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, and gerenuk – species rarely seen elsewhere. As the sun sets, you return to your lodge in Samburu for a relaxed evening.
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve Full Day
Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Samburu. You’ll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, maximizing your chances of encountering the diverse wildlife that calls this reserve home. Look out for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, various bird species, and perhaps the elusive African wild dog. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts many animals, making it a prime location for wildlife viewing.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, we head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for lunch at your camp or lodge. In the afternoon, we explore this sanctuary that blends wildlife conservation with community support, focusing on spotting the endangered black and the last two northern white rhinos on earth for which Ol Pejeta is famous. During the afternoon game drive, we will also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and enjoy sightings of elephants and buffalos. The night will be spent in Ol Pejeta.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After an early game drive, you’ll sign out and head to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving just in time for your first game drive in this wildlife-rich savannah. Watch for the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – and other iconic African animals like giraffes, hyenas, and numerous antelope species. This is also the land of the Great Migration, and depending on the time of year, you might witness millions of wildebeest and zebras traversing the plains. The night will be spent in Mara.
Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve Full Day
Today is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara in its entirety. A full-day game drive with a packed lunch will take you to the heart of the reserve, where you’ll witness the incredible concentration of wildlife. For a truly unforgettable experience, consider a hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains (this can be pre-booked). Floating above the landscape, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the wildlife—a truly magical experience. The night will be spent in the Mara.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve to Lake Naivasha
After a final morning game drive in the Maasai Mara, you’ll drive to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake known for its abundant birdlife, including fish eagles and kingfishers, and its scenic beauty. In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a boat ride on the lake, getting up close to hippos, giraffes, and waterbucks. The lake has over 400 bird species. A walk with wildlife is also available at Crescent Island.
Day 8: Hells Gate National Park
This is a unique day with a guided walking/cycling safari at Hell’s Gate National Park. Here, you can explore the dramatic landscapes, towering cliffs, striking canyons with layered rock formations, and geothermal activity. This area is ideal for hiking, photography, and geothermal activity. You can also spot wildlife on foot like grazing zebras, giraffes, gazelles, baboons, and buffalos. The night will be spent in Naivasha.

Day 9: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Today, we head south to the iconic land of Gentle Giants—Amboseli National Park, famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Upon arrival and settling into your lodge, we will have lunch and head for our first game drive in Amboseli in the afternoon.
With Kilimanjaro often providing a stunning backdrop, you’ll have fantastic opportunities to photograph large herds of elephants roaming freely across the plains. Amboseli is also home to lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and various birdlife. The open landscape allows for excellent visibility, rewarding wildlife viewing against the majestic mountain. The night will be spent in Amboseli.

Day 10: Amboseli National Park Full Day
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in this photogenic park. You will start early for beautiful sunrise views and active predators. Later, you will visit the Observation Hill for panoramic views of swamps teeming with hippos and birds. Watch elephants bathing or playing in the marshes in the afternoon—a heartwarming sight. You will spend the night in Amboseli.
Day 11: Amboseli National Park to Tsavo East National Park
Today, we head to the vast Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest parks, known for its red-dust elephants and dramatic open landscapes. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive, watching elephants roll in the red soil and search for lions, cheetahs, graceful lesser kudu, and various antelope species. We spend the night in Tsavo East.
Day 12: Tsavo East National Park to Diani Beach
After a final morning game drive in Tsavo East, you’ll drive to Diani Beach, a beautiful coastal paradise on the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your beach resort and spend the afternoon relaxing on the white sandy beaches, swimming in the turquoise waters, and soaking up the tropical sunshine. Night in Diani.

Day 13&14: Relaxing in Diani Beach
You will spend the next two days enjoying the idyllic beaches of Diani. You can relax on the sand, try water sports, swim in the ocean, snorkel over coral reefs, go deep-sea fishing, or take a day trip to Wasini Island. For the adventurous, you can try kite surfing or scuba diving. You can also explore the local area, visit nearby villages, or indulge in delicious seafood. Nights in Diani.
Day 15: Diani Beach to Nairobi
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll transfer to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi, connecting with your international departure flight, bringing your unforgettable Kenya wildlife and beach safari to an end.
